Gusak

For water selling points

About the project

Gusak is a Telegram Mini App for running a water selling point: sales and cash, expenses, settlement with the water supplier, and reports. The second half of the system is the meter device — firmware on an ESP32 board sends the water meter reading to the app over Wi-Fi by itself, so the figure never has to be written down. The owner (“boss”) adds operators through an invite link.

Capabilities

  • Sales and cash accounting
  • Expenses
  • Settlement with the water supplier
  • Working with the meter device
  • Owner and operator roles
  • Reports
  • Subscription and system account (Payme, Click)

Suvsotar — for the selling point’s computer

Opens the Suvsotar desk interface in its own application window: no browser panels, address bar or other tabs, with its own profile and maximised. The same web interface runs inside, so updates arrive by themselves — there is nothing to reinstall.

Install the firmware on a device

Version 0.5.0 · ESP32 (ESP32-WROOM-32, DevKit)

What you need

An ESP32 board, a USB cable that carries data (charge-only cables won’t work) and Chrome or Edge on a computer. On a phone or inside Telegram the install button may not work.

  1. 1

    Install the firmware

Connect the board to the computer with the USB cable and press the install button. In the dialog choose the port (CP210x, CH340 or USB Serial) → Connect → Install Gusak → Install. Wait 1–2 minutes for Installation complete.

The Erase device question: tick it for a new board, or one being moved to another customer — everything is wiped. If you are reinstalling on the same customer’s board and want to keep its Wi-Fi settings, leave it unticked. If the port is not listed, try another cable or USB socket; if the install does not start, try again while holding the BOOT button.

  2. 2

Connect the device to the customer

Power the board — it opens a Wi-Fi network called Gusak-XXXX with the password gusak12345. Join it from a phone and the setup page opens by itself (if not, open 192.168.4.1). In the owner’s app: Settings → Meter device → “Connect a new device” — the app shows an 8-digit code valid for 30 minutes. On the setup page choose the customer’s Wi-Fi, enter its password and the code → Save.

Within a minute the device shows as “connected” in the owner’s app. If it does not, the Gusak-XXXX network reappears: join it to see why — a wrong Wi-Fi password or code.

Later updates arrive over Wi-Fi: “Update device firmware” in the owner’s app. To set the device up again, hold the BOOT button on the board for 5 seconds.
